Pemba Beach Hotel Room InteriorDay 1:    On arrival at Pemba airport, you will be welcomed by a representative who will lead you for the 15-minute drive to Avani Pemba Beach Hotel for your overnight stay. Here, your stay is on a bed and breakfast basis. You will be booked in an Avani Ocean Room, one of 185 rooms that are divided into 10 different room types to cater for all kinds of budgets and tastes. Each is equipped with contemporary amenities including air conditioning, Wi-Fi, minibar, among other things.

Enjoy comfort in elegantly festooned interiors which boast a lovely décor of Arabic and European style. The architecture is a showcase of artistic masonry, with African and Arabic influences. When you manage to tear yourself from the comfort of your room, you can head to the fitness centre for some serious workout or the spa for some fusion of body and soul. There is also an infinity swimming pool for those who wish to escape the afternoon heat. Day 2:    After breakfast, you will be transferred to Pemba airport for the scenic air transfer in a light aircraft to Ibo Island in the Quirimbas Archipelago where you will spend 2 nights at Ibo Island Lodge. The island was once a trading port, and to this day features some fascinating remnants and building from an era lost in time. Now a world heritage site, Ibo attracts many a traveler to experience history and culture in one of the most beautiful places on earth. And your stay at Ibo Island Lodge will also enable you to just that.

Ibo Island Lodge Historical RoomHoused in 3 ancient buildings that are over a century old, Ibo Island Lodge offers just 14 rooms, ensuring an intimate stay and personalized service not found in bigger establishments. Each room is designed for comfort, featuring elegant, handcrafted furniture and large, comfortable king size beds draped in luxury cotton and silk linen.

Day 4:    On this morning, you will depart on your 2 nights Mobile Dhow Safari in the Quirimbas National Park, exploring the coastline and the uninhabited islands that fringe it. Along the way, you will encounter red-listed birds in mangrove forests on the wide coastal rivers that you explore. This exhilarating adventure is done on board a motorized dhow and you will be in the company of a pro guide, skipper and crew. This expedition can combine with a kayak safari where you get to paddle alongside your support vessel. Other activities you can get up to include snorkeling and fishing. Your crew will set up camp on a deserted island and you will be treated to some delectable seafood skillfully prepared over an open fire. Spend the night in an eco-fly tent with the sounds of nature to keep you company.

Coral Lodge 15.4Day 6:    Your dhow safari concludes on Ibo Island where you are transferred by light aircraft back to Pemba. On arrival, you will board a Mozambique Airlines flight to Nampula where you will be met by a representative from Coral Lodge for the 2-hour road transfer to Ilha de Mocambique. You will then connect by speedboat for the remaining 15 minutes transfer to Coral Lodge.

Here you will spend the remaining 7 nights of your itinerary on a fully inclusive basis. Coral Lodge has just 10 luxury villas, ensuring that you experience personalized service and the intimacy you deserve. Each villa is aesthetically furnished with all the mod cons you’d find in a 5-star establishment. Ideally placed with easy access to Ilha de Mozambique, this Mozambique lodge ensures that you enjoy its sublime beach setting and also experience all that the island has to offer.
